Creamy Strawberry Lemonade Recipe

  • Author: Lana
  • Total Time: 80 minutes (20 min active prep + 60 min chilling)
  • Yield: 8 servings

Description

This creamy strawberry lemonade is a luscious, dreamy blend of sweet strawberries, zesty lemons, and creamy perfection, perfect for a refreshing treat.

Ingredients

  • Fresh Strawberries: 2 cups, hulled
  • Fresh Lemon Juice: 1 cup
  • Granulated Sugar: 1 cup
  • Cold Water: 3 cups
  • Sweetened Condensed Milk: 1 (14-ounce) can, chilled
  • Ice: For blending and serving

Instructions

1. Prepare Your Strawberries: Wash and hull your fresh strawberries.

2. Make Strawberry Puree: Pop those hulled strawberries into a blender. Add about 1/2 cup of the cold water from your ingredients list. Blend until the strawberries are completely smooth and liquidy.

3. Prepare Lemon Juice: Next, grab your lemons. Roll them firmly on your counter before cutting them in half. Then, squeeze out 1 cup of fresh lemon juice.

4. Create Simple Syrup: In a small saucepan, combine your 1 cup of granulated sugar with 1 cup of the cold water. Heat this over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove it from the heat and let it cool down completely.

5. Combine Ingredients: In a large pitcher or bowl, pour in your cooled simple syrup, the fresh lemon juice, and the strawberry puree. Give it a good stir to combine all those lovely flavors.

6. Add the Creaminess: Pour in the entire can of chilled sweetened condensed milk. Stir vigorously until everything is thoroughly mixed and smooth.

7. Chill Thoroughly: Cover your pitcher and pop it into the refrigerator for at least one hour.

8. Blend with Ice (Optional): For a colder, slushie-like texture, you can blend individual servings with a handful of ice until you reach your desired consistency.

9. Taste and Adjust: Before serving, give your creamy strawberry lemonade a taste test. Adjust sweetness or tartness as needed.

10. Serve and Enjoy: Pour your magnificent creamy strawberry lemonade over plenty of ice in your favorite glasses. Garnish as desired.

Notes

Chef’s Secrets: Use ripe, red strawberries. Roll lemons before juicing for more yield. Taste and adjust sweetness. If separation occurs, stir/shake before serving.

Substitutions: For dairy-free, use chilled full-fat coconut cream (thick part only). Honey or agave nectar can replace sugar in simple syrup (adjust amounts).

Variations: Add raspberries, peaches, or mixed berries. Make it sparkling with club soda. Add vodka, gin, light rum, or prosecco for an adult version. Add vanilla extract or fresh mint.

Storage: Store in an airtight pitcher in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. Shake or stir before serving leftovers.
